Platja de les Marines (Dénia)

Beach & nature FREE

Dénia

The stretch of sand running north from Dénia's port, several kilometres of wide beach with a gentle, shallow entry, Blue Flag status and full services — the town's family option, in contrast to the rocky coves south of the centre.

Les Marines begins where Dénia's port ends and runs several kilometres north toward Xàbia. It's fine, golden sand, wide, with a very gradual entry into the water that makes it especially easy with small children; the seabed is sandy along its whole length, without the rocks that mark the coves south of the town centre.

It holds a Blue Flag, has a lifeguard and sunbed rental in high season, and a wide promenade that rarely feels crowded despite the volume of people in summer. Because it runs so long, there's almost always a quieter stretch further from the main access points, even in August — it's worth simply walking a bit past the first entrance.
