What to see in Alcoi
Alcoy was a center of Spain's Industrial Revolution, especially in textiles. Today, 140 companies work in the textile sector, continuing a tradition that includes paper mills producing fumadera paper. Deep ravines and gorges cut across the mountainous landscape, where industry and nature coexist. The Moros y Cristianos of Sant Jordi is a spring festival locals celebrate, not a tourist spectacle.
