With over 300 skyscrapers, some taller than 150 meters, Benidorm is often called the 'Manhattan of the Mediterranean'. You'll find two main beaches here: Playa de Poniente, which is bigger and quieter, and Playa de Levante, known for its calm water. It started as a small fishing village in the 1950s, but Benidorm quickly grew into a popular spot for beach holidays, bringing in over 2.8 million visitors in 2024.

🚆 How to get there from Alicante

The TRAM Line L1 runs directly from Luceros stop in Alicante to Benidorm. It's a 44.6-kilometer trip, taking around 70-75 minutes. Trams come every 30 minutes, and you'll see scenic coastal views along the route.
