What to see in Biar

Biar is a medieval village of fewer than 4,000 inhabitants, dominated by its castle perched at 750 metres above sea level. The fortress dates back to the twelfth century and was the site of sieges between castellanos and aragoneses until Jaime I annexed it after a five‑month siege. The town retains cobbled streets, traditional houses and a parish church. It was chosen as the Tourist Town of the Year 2025.
