What to see in Confrides
Confrides is a mountain village in the Vall de Seta, at the foot of Sierra Aitana (the highest peak in Alicante province at 1,558 metres) and Sierra de Xortà. Its historic centre contains a centenarian walnut tree and the church of San José. The ruined castle of Aljofra offers panoramic views of the valley. It serves as a base for ascents to Aitana and for visiting springs (Font de l'Arbre, Font de Forata). The region is famous for cherry blossoms in spring.
