What to see in Pego
Pego opens onto the Parc Natural del Marjal de Pego-Oliva, a 1,200‑hectare area of rice paddies watered by the Bullent and Racons rivers and their "ullals" (natural springs). The marsh is a key spot for birdwatching, with garzas, fochas and somormujos in the mix. From Muntanyeta Verda you can see the marjal, the sea and the mountains. El Arròs en Costra is the traditional dish of the area.

No direct bus service; access requires a transfer, usually via Dénia. The total travel time is about 2 hours and 20 minutes. The distance is 64 kilometres.
