What to see in Polop

Polop is a village of just over 5,000 inhabitants in the Marina Baja, situated at 262 metres altitude 15 kilometres from the coast. The medieval old town is built on a hill beneath the twelfth-century Arab fortress. The Plaza de los Chorros contains a fountain with 221 spouts and the church of San Pedro. It preserves a compact urban structure with ancient walls.

🚆 How to get there from Alicante

Autobús ALSA from Alicante. About a one‑hour journey. There are three daily services. The N‑332 road connects Alicante to Polop, offering car access that takes 40‑45 minutes. Distance: about 40 kilómetros.
