Hogar del Pescador
Opened in 1970 by the Devesa Santacreu family, next to La Vila Joiosa's yacht club. More than five decades on it still works with fish bought daily at the town's market, in the line of Mediterranean cooking that gave it its name.
💡 Local tip: Ask what came in at the market that day before ordering; the menu leans on fresh fish, which changes with the day's catch.
The Devesa Santacreu family opened Hogar del Pescador in 1970 next to La Vila Joiosa's yacht club, with the idea of bringing the town's Mediterranean fishing-village cooking to the table. More than fifty years on it's still run by the same family.
The fish is bought daily at the town's market, and the menu moves between rice dishes and seasonal fish, in line with the fishing-village cooking that has always defined La Vila Joiosa. The restaurant is listed in the Guía Repsol among its selection of Mediterranean cooking on the Costa Blanca.
