Playa de La Zenia (Orihuela Costa)
A sandy cove sheltered by a cliff in Orihuela Costa, with water that's calm almost year-round and much of the resort's life — from the shopping centre to the coastal path toward Cabo Roig — right beside it.
La Zenia is a fine-sand cove sheltered by a cliff that cuts much of the swell, keeping the water calm most of the year and making it a comfortable pick with children. It carries a Blue Flag and the full set of services of an established resort beach: a lifeguard, showers and beach bars in season.
A coastal path connects it south to Cala Capitán, in Cabo Roig, so the two beaches can be combined on a walk along the cliff. La Zenia's shopping area, built around the mall that gives the neighbourhood its name, is a short walk away, which makes this a convenient choice if you're staying in Orihuela Costa and would rather not move the car.
